Jeddah, Sha'ban 27, 1435, Jun 25, 2014, SPA -- Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Development Fund (SDF) signed in Jeddah this evening a number of developmental support agreements granted by SDF to Yemen, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Chad, Guinea and Mozambique. Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Saadi, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of Yemen; Mohammed Saleem Sithi, Undersecretary of the Economic Affairs Department at the Ministry of Finance of Pakistan; Ayar Ghaniyov, minister of foreign economic cooperation, investment and trade of Uzbekistan; Mariam Mohammed Noor, Minister of Planning and International cooperation of Chad; Lusin Nab, Governor of Central Bank of Guinea; and Manuel Shaeq minister of finance of Mozambique each signed for his country. The agreements include financing developmental projects in the sectors of education and infrastructure in Yemen in the amount of SR497 million , rehabilitation projects worth SR100 million and fishermen support project costing SR12.375 million in Pakistan and potable water project in the amount of SR70 million in Uzbekistan. The financing of Maskori road in Chad will cost SR93.75 million, the rehabilitation and expansion of the capital's hospital in Guinea will siphon SR120 million, and a power generation in Mozambique will take SR56.25 million. In a statement to SPA, Dr. Assaf said the agreements including six important ones in Yemen covering roads, water, sewage discharge and education are seen as continuation to the support provided by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Yemen as well as the Saudi exports program which is sponsored by SDF. --SPA 23:01 LOCAL TIME 20:01 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
